Description

The best spots - the best rides - one map! Freeriding at its best in the hottest freeride spots in the French and Swiss Alps - that's the simple formula for the Freeride Map. The world's only map for freeriders makes the knowledge of locals and mountain guides freely available for the first time.

All skiable freeride runs, drops and couloirs are colour-coded in so-called freeride corridors in three levels of difficulty:

Sectors marked in blue indicate technically simple terrain. Here, rookies as well as cracks will find lines to be driven smoothly.

Yellow sectors require advanced to a high level of skiing ability. The downhill routes can lead in sections through demanding terrain.

Very difficult to extreme terrain is marked in red. Partially exposed and therefore reserved only for absolute pros. Falls can be fatal and are therefore to be avoided at all costs!

The classification of the sectors is based exclusively on the requirements of the skier's technique. The choice of route has to be adapted to the prevailing snow conditions and avalanche situation!

The maps on a scale of 1:25 000 (based on national maps of the BEV or the Swiss topography) are an important safety tool and show all the information required for planning and implementation in the terrain. The map section is freely selected, i.e. the entire area is covered by one map. The Freeride Maps are printed on tear and waterproof paper.

On the back of the map, all basic information on route planning, avalanche prevention and rescue is also presented in two languages. Thanks to the practical final format of 10 x 15 cm, the Freeride Maps fit into every jacket and trouser pocket.

Scale 1:25 000 | on tear and waterproof paper | Format 10 x 15 cm | bilingual French/English
