Description

The Three Peaks are one of the landmarks of the Dolomites.

Since time immemorial, these tall, narrow towers with their shady and steep walls have been arousing interest, but at the same time they awaken a deep feeling of respect. People who want to climb on these vertical or overhanging walls should be able to cope with not always the best rock quality, have good climbing experience and should be psychologically resilient. Even in the earliest years of mountaineering these towers were the target of illustrious names of the international mountaineering scene. Many of them have left their traces in the form of new routes, first repetitions, winter mountaineering, solo ascents or Enchainements.

In this guide, more than 100 routes are described: Classic older, technical routes and new modern sport climbing routes. Many of the routes were repeated by the authors, who are also very good climbers and mountaineers. With this guide, especially the sophisticated, less known routes should get a platform to prevent them from being changed or perhaps even plastered with bolts because of ignorance.

Erik Svab, Giovanni Renzi | Versante Sud | 180 Pages | Language: German
